Moving quote checklist
These checks apply to every Aaru move, whether it is a shift within Vizag or a run to another district. Use them to compare quotations on the same basis.
Confirm the full moving scope
Compare quotations for the same inventory and responsibilities. A room count or city name alone is not enough to confirm the price.
- Goods and packing
- List furniture, appliances, cartons and fragile items. Ask which materials, dismantling and reassembly tasks are included.
- Transport and schedule
- Confirm the vehicle arrangement, any shared-load handling, additional stops and proposed pickup / delivery windows.
- Access and labour
- Record floors, steps and parking-to-door distance at both ends. Ask who supplies loading and unloading labour.
- Price and terms
- Ask for the total, applicable taxes and separately chargeable work. Confirm payment, cancellation and transit responsibility before booking.
If transit cover is offered, ask for its policy terms, declared value and claim procedure. Do not assume it is automatically included.
Keep these details ready at both ends
- Before collection
Photograph item condition, number cartons and share the inventory. Keep personal documents, valuables and essentials with you.
- Before dispatch
Confirm the coordinator, transport arrangement, receiver and agreed delivery window. Retain the written quote and inventory.
- At delivery
Check the numbered inventory with the receiving team. Note discrepancies promptly and confirm any agreed reassembly work.
