How we pack your appliances
Appliances are costly and easy to damage if packed the wrong way. Here is what we do for each one, and what we ask you to do first:
- Fridge – emptied and dried a day before, doors taped shut, carried upright.
- TV – screen covered with a soft sheet and thick wrap, kept standing.
- Washing machine – water drained, pipes bagged, wrapped and kept upright.
- Split AC – taken down by your technician, then both units packed by us.
- Microwave and mixer – glass plate and jars packed apart, body wrapped.
- Computer and printer – cables labelled and packed in a bag with the device.
For packing of the full home, see our household shifting page.
Move lighter and pay less
The less you move, the lower the cost. A short clear-out before the goods list helps a lot:
- Go room by room
Pick out things you have not used in a long time, like old clothes, broken chairs or spare utensils.
- Sell or give away
Sell old furniture or appliances, or give them to someone who needs them.
- Clear old paper
Old newspapers, books and boxes can go to the raddi shop before moving day.
- Then make the list
Share your goods list only after the clear-out, so the quote covers just what is moving.
Shifting charges in Simhadripuram
Your charges depend on what you take, the packing you choose and how far you go. Appliances that need extra wrapping are listed by name in the quote. Packing, labour, the vehicle and transport each get their own line in the quote, plus taxes.
Your bike or car can also be moved. See how our vehicle transport is done.
